On October 21, a video surfaced online showing an individual standing on an electric scooter with arms outstretched, weaving across four lanes of traffic at the Tianfu Interchange in Chengdu. In response, the Chengdu Public Security Bureau’s Traffic Management Division released a statement on October 20.

According to their investigation, on October 19 at around 3 PM, a man named Long was operating the electric scooter when he performed the dangerous stunt of removing both hands from the handlebars and standing on the vehicle’s footboard. His reckless behavior not only posed a significant risk to road safety but also disrupted public order. Authorities have summoned Long for questioning, and the case is currently under further review.
