Olympic athletes visit -Plateau Sapphire- Qinghai Lake

During a recent visit to the stunning shores of Qinghai Lake, several Olympic athletes took the opportunity to capture memorable moments. Among them was Liang Yushuang, who won a bronze medal in the men’s 68 kg taekwondo event at the 2024 Paris Olympics. He was seen posing for pictures with staff members by the lakeside.

Another highlight of the trip featured Lin Weining, the women’s 69 kg taekwondo champion from the 2000 Sydney Olympics, making a special appearance to take photos by the lake. Similarly, Zhang Mengxue, gold medalist in the women’s 10m air pistol at the 2016 Rio Olympics, also visited and reflected on her achievements in front of a monument at Qinghai Lake.

The trip wasn’t just about individual accolades. Ma Zhenzhao, who secured a bronze in women’s judo at the 2024 Paris Olympics, took some time to appreciate the scenic views and snapped some commemorative photos. Zhang Chenglong, who helped lead his team to victory as the men’s gymnastics team champion at the 2012 London Olympics, also joined in on the fun with a selfie at the picturesque location.

Liang Yushuang and his team made sure to share the joy of their achievements, showcasing group photos and engaging with the local culture. In a lively display, Olympic athletes participated in a traditional Guozhuang dance alongside local performers, fostering camaraderie and cultural exchange.

As the sun shone down on Qinghai Lake, athletes, adorned in traditional attire, captured the spirit of the moment with joyful selfies. The trip also took the athletes to Shengquan Bay, where they continued to enjoy beautiful autumn scenery and strengthen the bonds forged through their shared Olympic experiences.
