Iran says Israeli airstrike killed 4 soldiers and suffered -limited damage- in some areas

On October 27, reports emerged from various foreign media outlets regarding a serious incident in Iran. According to statements made by Iranian officials, an attack from Israel on October 26 resulted in the deaths of four Iranian soldiers.

Local sources indicated that several explosions were heard in Tehran following the attack, leading to heightened tensions in the area. The Israeli military previously announced that dozens of its fighter jets conducted a series of three airstrikes in the early hours of October 26, targeting military facilities near the Iranian capital as well as sites in western Iran.

In response to these attacks, the Iranian military stated that its air defense systems successfully intercepted many of the incoming strikes; however, they confirmed the unfortunate loss of four soldiers and reported “limited damage” in certain areas.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a statement affirming that the country has both the “right and the obligation to defend itself,” while also emphasizing Iran’s responsibility to maintain peace and security in the region.
