On October 26, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission released a report detailing the oversight and investigation activities of disciplinary and supervisory agencies across the country from January to September 2024. The report reveals that during this period, these agencies received approximately 2.703 million public complaints and reports, opened 642,000 cases, and imposed disciplinary actions on 589,000 individuals, which includes 53 officials at the provincial or ministerial level.
According to the report, from January to September 2024, a total of 2.703 million reports were received, with 756,000 categorized as complaints and accusations. Additionally, 1.584 million problem leads were addressed. The number of cases opened totaled 642,000, comprising 58 officials at the provincial or ministerial level, 3,263 at the bureau level, 26,000 at the county level, 89,000 at the township level, and 77,000 current or former village party secretaries and committee chairs.
Furthermore, the report indicates that during the same period, disciplinary actions were taken against 589,000 individuals, which includes 461,000 for violations of party discipline and 170,000 for violations of administrative duty. This includes 53 officials at the provincial level, 2,779 at the bureau level, 21,000 at the county level, 74,000 at the township level, 84,000 general staff, and 407,000 from rural areas, enterprises, and other sectors.
In addition, from January to September, there were 19,000 cases of bribery involved, with 2,972 individuals transferred to the procuratorial organs for further action.
