Clear Love Just for China|Chasing Dreams in Space- 400 Million Kilometers of Exploration and Counterattack

This year, we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of New China.

Over the past three-quarters of a century, the transformation has been remarkable. We’ve gone from nothing to a flourishing ecosystem of diversity. We’ve transitioned from relying on imported technology to leading in self-innovation.

Reflecting on this journey, we recognize the significant reforms we’ve embraced and the challenges we’ve overcome. In this new era, China is harnessing innovative productivity to drive high-quality development, making significant strides on the global stage.

To share this dynamic story, Southern Net and Yue Xuexi have launched a data visualization series titled “Current Trends.” This series highlights the incredible advancements in Chinese manufacturing over the last 75 years and showcases our ongoing leaps in productivity.

In the first installment, we look up to the stars.

Measuring nearly 40 meters in length and weighing about 100 tons, the “Tiangong” space station stands as China’s independently constructed haven in the vast cosmos.

This incredible structure has ascended to 400 kilometers above the Earth, and our spacecraft have even ventured to Mars, a breathtaking distance of 400 million kilometers away.

Achieving these milestones required starting from scratch and overcoming numerous challenges. Remarkably, for every dollar invested in our space program, we see a ten-fold return—illustrating the economic impact of our efforts. More than 2,000 advancements in space technology have benefited all 1.4 billion citizens, showcasing the social impact of our space initiatives. With over 600 domestically produced satellites in orbit, we’re ensuring our nation’s security from afar, highlighting the strategic implications of our aerospace activities.

From our early dreams of reaching the stars to the current era of “space infrastructure,” we’ve grown from conceptual pioneers to executing manned “Shenzhou” missions and establishing our habitable “Tiangong” station.

We’re entering an exciting new phase of space exploration in China. However, the quest for aerospace accomplishments is just one facet of a larger picture as we strive for new, qualitative productivity.

There are many more stories from China that continue to unfold.
