-Plastic Surgery Marathon- 24-year-old Brazilian woman suffocated and vomited blood after undergoing 6 plastic surgeries in 8 hours

A tragic narrative is unfolding in Brazil surrounding 24-year-old Viviane Lira Monte, who is believed to have undergone a series of extreme cosmetic surgeries that ultimately led to her death. In a single eight-hour session, Monte underwent six different procedures, including breast reduction, liposuction, and fat transfers to her buttocks and lips. What she aspired to achieve in terms of beauty turned into a devastating reality.

Reports from G1 and The Sun reveal that Monte found her surgeon online and paid approximately $7,329 for the surgeries. The initial phase of her operation included breast reduction and liposuction targeting her abdomen, arms, back, and chin, after which the extracted fat was transferred to enhance her buttocks and lips.

Tragically, the story took a dark turn. She was discharged just one day post-surgery, but once home, she began experiencing severe complications. Her family recounts her intense pain and a rapid deterioration in her condition. Monte suffered from a serious infection and inflammation, which led to difficulty breathing and severe vomiting of blood. Despite being rushed to the hospital and spending over 20 days in the ICU, she ultimately lost her battle, succumbing to heart failure attributed to a severe abdominal infection.

Her husband, Renan Santiago, expressed his profound sorrow over the situation, lamenting that despite medical staff reviving her and placing her on a ventilator, she couldn’t recover. Santiago criticized the plastic surgeon for luring patients with discounts to encourage multiple procedures and claimed that the doctor went missing during his wife’s critical moments, only appearing in the ICU hours before she passed away.

When the media attempted to reach out for a comment, the surgeon declined to respond. Meanwhile, local authorities have identified concerning aspects of the case and have launched an investigation into the matter.
